Voor de recreatieve hardloper biedt de Newton Fitness Mini Pro veel trainingsmogelijkheden.
Zo kun je uit maar liefst 12 voorgeprogrammeerde programma’s kiezen. Deze programma’s kun je ook nog deels naar wens aanpassen, zodat je elke training volledig naar je wens maakt.
Ook is de hoge maximale snelheid van 15 km/u ideaal. Met dank aan deze snelheid kun je met tal van trainingen aan de slag gaan.
Je kunt kiezen voor een duurtraining waarbij je iets zachter loopt, maar je kunt ook kiezen voor een intensieve training. Zelfs een intervaltraining behoort tot de mogelijkheden.
Voor veel mensen geschikt
In onze ogen is de Newton Fitness Mini Pro voor veel mensen geschikt.
Dit is te danken aan het brede loopvlak, maar ook aan het maximaal belastbare gewicht. Zelfs als je ruim boven de 100 kilogram weegt, kun je gebruik maken van deze loopband.
Fijn te bedienen en duidelijk display
Toen wij deze loopband uit mochten proberen, viel het display ons direct op. Het display is vrij groot, biedt veel informatie en is ook nog fijn te bedienen.
Bijkomend voordeel: via het handrailsysteem kun je ook makkelijk je snelheid aanpassen!
De belangrijkste nadelen van de Newton Fitness Mini Pro
Is het dan allemaal koek en ei bij deze loopband? Nee, houd goed rekening met onderstaande nadelen.
Niet de beste kwaliteit
In onze ogen is dit niet de beste loopband die je kunt kopen. Dit is vooral te wijten aan de matige kwaliteit. De loopband voelt niet super robuust aan, terwijl de motor ook niet optimaal is.
Newton Fitness heeft voor een DC motor gekozen, wat op zich prima is. Zoals eerder al gesteld, vinden wij alleen het vermogen en de maximale snelheid uit verhouding.
Vrij prijzig
Wij zijn ook van mening dat je voor deze loopband nogal veel geld moet betalen. Vergelijkbare varianten van bijvoorbeeld VirtuFit, Tunturi en Focus Fitness zijn in ieder geval goedkoper.
Geen hellingshoek
Bij een loopband uit deze prijsklasse is het vrij bijzonder, maar er is géén instelbare hellingshoek aanwezig. Een gemiste kans wat ons betreft.
Wat kost de Newton Fitness Mini Pro?
Voor de Newton Fitness Mini Pro moet je een bedrag van 750 euro betalen.
Zoals eerder in deze review al gesteld, vinden wij dit behoorlijk aan de prijs. Vergelijkbare loopbanden zijn in ieder geval goedkoper én beter op meerdere facetten.
Is de aanschaf van de Newton Fitness Mini Pro aan te raden?
Nee, wij zijn niet volledig overtuigd van deze loopband.
Op papier zien de meeste specificaties er prima uit, maar de loopband laat toch behoorlijk wat steken vallen. Ook zijn wij alles behalve te spreken over de prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding.
Wij raden je graag aan om je pijlen op een andere loopband te richten!

A producer on “For All Mankind” has shared more about how the Apple Newton came to life in the series.
The crew managed to modify the device and stuff an iPhone 12 Pro Max inside.
The POV shots from the device were shot using the front-facing camera on the iPhone.
The story of the Apple Newton on “For All Mankind” continues to unfold.
Earlier this week, we reported that a cult-favorite Apple device, the Apple Newton, made a cameo in “For All Mankind.” Today, we know just how they pulled it off.
Ben McGinnis, a producer for the series, posted a series of photos showing off the modified device. As explained by McGinnis, the team actually managed to fit an iPhone 12 Pro Max inside the housing of the Newton, enabling them to use the front-facing camera for the POV shots in the series.
The modified Newton was used as a video communications device in the third season of “For All Mankind.” It’s crazy to think that the user interface is likely an app or a video running on the iPhone 12 Pro Max inside.
